In my FAFO era: Forty Around Find Out! I embrace growing older without any pretenses. I'm proud of how far I've come, I don't lie about my age, and I'll grow old gracefully but not quietly. I do dye my hair though, lol.

I love the smell of a new book! I collect antique books, any books pre-1920s. I love all genres, but especially historical fiction.
My top five favorite books:
The Color Purple by Alice Walker and Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Hawaii by James A. Michener
Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
I like photography, both actively taking photos and appreciating others' work. I have a Cricut and I make different things as gifts, I do not sell anything. I have ADHD so I hoard craft supplies and just have fun when the inspiration hits.
I am Pagan, and yes, I am a practicing witch. If I must be labeled, I'd fall under eclectic and hearth witchery. I enjoy various divination methods, crystals, herbs, books and workbooks. I love handmade items and items pertaining to a particular culture or tradition (cultural appreciation, not appropriation). I celebrate the secular aspects of the holidays like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Leprechaun's Day, etc. I will never send anything relating to my beliefs when it is not called for. However, I do not mind receiving things like religious holiday cards, I find most religious art to be quite beautiful. If it's something that helps you celebrate without causing harm, I say go for it! The only time a problem will ever arise is if someone tries to preach to me and tell me I'm doing things wrong. I was raised Catholic and I find beauty in some aspects of it still, but I have found the path that makes me truly happy and fulfilled and guides me to be a better person and I wish the same for everyone else, whatever that looks like.
We have been homeschooling since 2021. I ask my children every year if they want to go back to brick and mortar school and they always say no. I am willing to help them learn as long as they want me to. I have an incoming fourth and eighth grader. We take many field trips, work on our hobby farm, and enjoy our time together. There are some bad days but for the most part, this way of life has improved us all tremendously.
