Five Hole Pamphlet Tutorial

For this swap: Using the above link, you will create 1 pamphlet style book for 1 partner.

Please make sure your paper is folded neatly. No mismatched edges.

Make sure your stiches are neat and tight. Don't want the book coming apart.

For the cover, please use a heavier type paper. Not just computer paper.

Decorate the cover (front and back) of the pamphlet for your partner. Collage, paint, draw, papercraft. . .the choice is up to you.

I couldn't be more excited about this group! I'm IN! One question: is it imperative that we use the string listed in the tutorial, or can we substitute other reasonably strong string that we have?

You can use a substitute "strong" string.

The tutorial says 5 sheets of paper, so 10 "pages".

I just finished mine and it was so easy! I think I thought in my head that it was going to be harder than it was for some reason...but it was EASY and FUN! The center folio slipped a bit when I was making the holes but other than that it went very smoothly and I am pretty pleased with the way it came out! Yay! Let's do another one! :-)

I was thinking the same thing. I thought it was going to be more difficult, but now I just want to make a bunch more because they were so fun and easy. =)

I think the next swap with them will be themed or something.

That would be fun and maybe one with decorated pages too? Just some decoration but with plenty of room for the recipient to still write/add?
