She turned 4 in August. I enjoyed your note very much. My husband and I came here 5 years ago from Massachusetts-the land of the ice and snow. It is not hot here all year long. It is in the 50's in the winter. The state of Florida was too hot for us, so we settled half way between it and Massachusetts. Hope t keep in touch with you, it seems that there are not many of us Seniors. Everyone seems to be in their 20 or 30's. Best of health for you and your husband from the land up top. I don't know what you call people in the states, like Australia is the land down under. Shirley

Here in Houston, our Christmas weather can often be very warm and humid--up to the low 80s at times. However, we are in the midst of a strong Arctic blast that has us with highs in the 50s for about two weeks, so I am loving it! I grew up with snowy holidays and really miss them! Merry Christmas and have a wonder new year!

Comment: Thank you very much, I loved both the cards, particularly the blue one with the suitcase. I always love getting letters with swaps, so thank you for that too. I know what you mean about learning: I took violin lessons, but couldn't stick to it because I find being taught boring. I am still rather cross with myself for that. The only way I stuck with piano was by teaching myself, which allowed me to just play things I enjoyed. I hope you find a way to pick the piano up again, it's never too late :)

Comment: Audrey - thanks so much for the shopping bags. I am always adding to my collection as I never seem to remember to put them in my car when I go for groceries. These will certainly help! In the states, most places are offering reusable bags, but there have been few outright bans of the plastic bags - San Francisco being one city that has banned them. The idea you mentioned of charging for plastic bags is a good one - some stores here will give you 5 or 10 cents credit per bag if you bring your own. Let's hope it all helps the environment!!

One of the stickers has been put on a present which I am sending to my grand daughter in New Zealand, so it will be going back that way! What a small world! Thank you so much for the fantastic set of "B Countries" ATC you created for me as part of the "B Countries ATC" swap. I love the presentation of the ATCs. Each had its own envelope, each had a sheet of information about the country and then the best was each ATC. I love the beautiful pictures you found for each country and the silver border. They were just wonderful and a couple of the larger stickers have already been used to decorate a package to someone else as I didn't have any! Thanks for your note, it's nice to know the bracelet is still a hit - I thought it rather pretty myself - if only I wore pink!! Enjoy!

Comment: Thank you Audrey. Your package arrived on Friday. I loved your card and the way you used the fancy scissors on all the layers. I also loved your ATC cards in that you took the time to use the tea pots and cats, that I collect and love.
I do not understand why the PO, indicated that I had moved and returned your package to you. I would like to think with a package from so far away that they would have looked at it a swcond time. So sorry about this.
